Why not use an off-the-shelf CRM?+−
Sometimes an off-the-shelf CRM is the right choice: when the team is small, sales fit a standard lead, deal and payment pipeline, and deep exchange with accounting is not needed. A custom CRM pays off when sales are tied to seasons and client fields, an exchange with accounting is required, or the ready product forces half of the data into spreadsheets next to it.
Does askcust have experience building CRM systems?+−
Yes. askcust built a CRM for travel agents that brings requests, clients, bookings and payments into one workspace instead of email and spreadsheets. It is not agriculture, but the task is the same: bringing clients, deals and money into one system built around the rules of a specific market.
How long does CRM development take and what does the price depend on?+−
Both are defined after the sales audit and depend on the number of entities and roles, the integrations and the amount of data to migrate; the number of sales managers does not affect the development cost. The first release is limited to what the sales team cannot work without (clients, deals and tasks), and it is best launched before the active sales season.
Will you migrate data from our current CRM or spreadsheets?+−
Yes, migration is a separate development stage. askcust exports data from spreadsheets, email or the current CRM through its API or export, merges duplicates, checks the result with the managers and only then moves the team to the new system. Deal history and agreements move together with the clients.
What about support after launch?+−
askcust supports the CRM after launch by agreement: bug fixes, integration updates when the accounting system or telephony changes, new reports and automations. Before each season it is worth reviewing the pipeline and reference data such as products, prices and crops, and that is part of support too. The support format, ongoing or on request, is agreed separately.
Who owns the CRM and the client base?+−
The client. The CRM code is handed over to your repository, and the client base is stored on your server or in your cloud account. For an agricultural company the client base is a key asset, so askcust's access to it is limited to development and support and is closed once the work is finished.
